FAQs about XELON CORPORATION
Xelon Corporation was founded in 1991 by Thomas D Beaumont, a former Marketing
Director at ITT Cannon and a veteran of several previous startup organizations. Xelon
Corporation was founded to provide specialized services to the manufacturing industry. Tom
had an idea that manufacturing companies using Just In Time Inventory systems would find
that on occasion the system that they relied on would fail to deliver "Just In
Time". That at that point, purchasing department world-wide, would be out of options
and would find an emergency delivery service for electronic components useful. Excel
International was born.
Since that time, clients have asked us to help them manage excess inventories
and market them for a better return than had been traditional. eWarehouse was born using
many of the same skills earned by Excel International. That led to a third market
opportunity. The Xelon Inventory Management Group was created to package both services and
in addition, add management of end-of-life buys, off-site storage, and other customizable
services.
Xelon Corporation is located in Camarillo, California. Situated between
downtown Los Angeles 50 miles to the southeast, Santa Barbara 35 miles to the west, and
Malibu 15 miles to the south. Camarillo is in the Oxnard Plain, adjacent to the
Pacific Ocean. Surrounded by strawberry and vegetable fields, Camarillo is
famous for the Camarillo White Horses seen yearly at the Rose Parade, and for
the newest state college campus, California State University at Channel Islands.
Xelon Corporation is the parent company to two operating
divisions, Ventura Medical Supply Inc. and eWarehouse. Both are marketing arms that use common services provided by
the parent organization. These services are: Marketing Communications, Human Resources,
Accounting, Purchasing, Training, Information Technologies, Quality Assurance,
Shipping/Receiving and Engineering.
